Seriously, I keep hearing about Thanksgiving and stuffing yourself full of food and how you’re supposed to enjoy it with family, sit down on the couch, watch football, and watch as your gut slowly comes out of your shirt and you have to unbuckle your pants to make room for the gut as it tries to escape from the confines of your clothes.
It must be a midwestern-east coast thing, because I’ve found over the years…as we get together with the 5 million people that is my mom’s side of the family, I eat a little bit of turkey, a roll, some potatoes, Jello and a piece of pie. I’m not some health nut believe me, I am a person who loves to eat! However I don’t understand the notion of eating Thanksgiving meals the “American Way” or “the way our Forefathers would have us eat.”
I hope all of you enjoyed your thanksgiving, giving thanks for the fact we have food to eat, and the fact that we have so much more to be thankful for. I am very thankful for all that and for the fact that I don’t have to work till Monday.
Thanks be to all!
..especially Frank Caliendo.
